ABOUT A TALL ORDER
At 6’ and 6'8" respectively, Suzie Hardt and Todd Marsden perform regularly for diverse audiences across the Bay Area, the United States and abroad, for audiences from 2 to 2,000. They are well known for their entertaining dance style, glamorous costumes, versatility, welcoming demeanor, and innovative choreography. Four time United States Ballroom and Latin 10 Dance Champions, Suzie and Todd perform all forms of partner dance, including waltz, tango, foxtrot, quickstep, Viennese Waltz, salsa, merenge, chacha, rumba, samba, paso doble, jive, swing, charleston, Lindy Hop, jitterbug, disco, country 2 step, and rock and roll. They also produce shows with top dance professionals of other dance specialties to put together larger productions of any theme.
TV, FILM, MUSIC VIDEO
The duo performed 10 original pieces with Grammy Award winning composer and conductor Victor Vanacore and the St. Louis Symphony in his "Swing, Swing, Swing" program, for which they received a standing ovation. They were swing dancers in the PBS swing documentary, "Big Band Magic" and featured Latin dancers in pianist composer Faranak's music video " Spanish Lover." NBC flew them to New York to perform as ballroom dancers with their comedy tango routine “The Chickentango”, which appeared on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Season 8.
Satisfied clients include Google, Kaiser, Intuit, Harrah Casino, Mercury, Genentech, the New Century Orchestra, St. Supery Winery, Robert Mondavi Winery, Inglenook Winery, the California Institute of Science, the de Jung Museum, the Saint Louis Symphony, and LinkedIn. Stage performances include the Masquers Theater, the Marin Theater Company, Marin Showcase Theater, Pier 39 Theater and San Francisco Conservatory of Music. They have performed for many non-profits, fundraising and charity events.
Suzie Hardt and Todd Marsden are 4 times United States Amateur Senior 1 Ten Dance Ballroom and Latin champions. They represented the United States at the World Championships in Mallorca, Spain in 2010, in Toronto, Canada in 2011, and in Antwerp, Belgium in 2013.
Suzie is a Ballroom Dance Teacher and the owner of dance studio Suzie's Studio in San Rafael, California, where she teaches all styles of partner dance, including all the ballroom, Latin American, tango, and swing dances. She the author of the books Moving As Two: A Guide for Ballroom Dancers available on amazon and Social Dance Made Simple. Also The Wedding Choreographer, Suzie choreographs local and destination weddings. She teaches private lessons and choreographs at her studio, at other ballrooms in the Bay Area, and abroad.
Todd teaches second grade elementary school in Novato, California, training with Suzie in the evenings. He often performs and teaches with Suzie at dance performances and destination events.
Suzie and Todd have been dancing together for 17 years. They were married in 2011 and live in Point Richmond, California with their dog Happy and cat Bella.
